North African Startups can Apply for $500k Forbes Competition

Forbes and the Aviram Foundation launched a US$500,000 competition as they look to identify new businesses committed to driving significant, profound positive change through technological innovation.

The completion which has a top prize is US$500,000 – is looking for original products or services that will result in positive social, environmental, or human impact.

Last year’s edition of the completion received hundreds of submissions. Israeli startup RedC Biotech won the top prize.

The Forbes x Aviram Foundation competition is open to startups based in Algeria, Egypt and Morocco, as well as Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Businesses and startups alike are eligible to apply if they are in the pre-seed or seed phase with a working idea that positively impacts humanity. The businesses or startups eligible must not have exceeded US$5 million in total investment.
